Jim Robbins recently shared a three part interview that he had with Andrew Farley in which they discussed the concepts in Andrew's latest book, God Without Religion.
All three parts of the interview can be found here. You can listen/download the mp3's directly from Jim's podcast page or via iTunes.

Guest on 'The Good and Noble Heart' podcast
This afternoon Jim Robbins had me as a guest on his podcast, The Good and Noble Heart. We had a really great discussion, talking about several things including:
-The new Grace Roots community on ning.com
-People being alone in their grace walk
-The worldwide body of Christ being able to connect with and encourage one another in God's love and grace through the internet
-How community is not just about one person's agenda, but rather everyone has things to bring to the table
-What it looks like when people aren't walking according to God's grace and their new good heart
-Several other things revolving around being established in grace and growing in grace
Just as I had found in studying Jim's Recover Your Good Heart study guide with other people, Jim asked really great questions that provided for a really great discussion on this podcast. You can download the podcast and/or listen directly by clicking on the widget below.

Recover Your Good Heart - online study starts in 1 week!
We're just one week away from beginning an online study of the book Recover Your Good Heart by author Jim Robbins! All the details, including links to purchase the book and study guide, are here, and I really hope you're able to join in!
We'll begin at 7pm Eastern, 4pm Pacific, and we'll go for about an hour each Sunday until we get through the study guide. I encourage you to get the study guide for yourself, but you won't be turned away from the discussion if you don't have it. We'll do this using Yahoo Messenger (it will probably help if everybody's running the latest version). My id is jsbreeze111. If you'd like to be a part of this study, simply add me as one of your contacts at any time (identifying yourself so I know you're legit. I'll sign on 15 to 30 minutes before the start of each study. When you log on, please send me an IM to let me know that you want to be a part of the study, and I'll invite you into the main chat.
You don't have to "say" anything (type anything) during the chats. You're welcome to just join in so that you can see what everyone else has to say. But in order for this to work, we do need at least some people to chat!
This is something new - I've never done anything like this - so there may be technical issues. We'll play it by ear and see what happens! I'm not the type who is easily flustered if things don't work out in my 'pre-planned' way. We'll do all right, no matter what. ;) Looking forward to some great discussions!

Recover Your Good Heart - Free study guide offer - limited time
Author Jim Robbins has posted a special offer on his site, good through December 12th. If you purchase his book, Recover Your Good Heart, he will send you an email with a free download of the Study Guide that accompanies the book. Click this link for the details. This is a good deal for you, whether you'd like to join in with my upcoming online study of the book or if you'd like to study it on your own or with another group!
Recover Your Good Heart - online study update
Just over a month ago I posted a review of Jim Robbin's book Recover Your Good Heart and then a few days later I posted links to not only the book, but also to an accompanying Study Guide. I suggested the idea of doing some sort of online study and I received some positive feedback, and now it's time to start putting this in motion. My thought is to try to begin the study on the second Sunday in January - the 11th, and meet online on consecutive Sundays. Perhaps beginning at 7pm Eastern, 4pm Pacific, for about an hour. This is all tentative, and is subject to change, but is a rough idea so we can see who this might work for.
The study guide has ten chapters, and my thought is to try to discuss 1 or 2 chapters worth of material every week. That is, each Sunday we can discuss a chapter or two, depending upon how quiet or 'talkative' people are! The format... I think the easiest thing would be to go with Yahoo Messenger. This may change as well, but right now that's what I'm thinking of.
So... who's up for this?! Check out Jim's site to order the book and Study Guide. The Study Guide, by the way, is available in book form OR as a download. I'll post a separate blog after this one that points to Jim's special offer of a free download of the Study Guide when you purchase the book, through December 12th.

Recover Your Good Heart - book and study guide available
As you may have seen I posted my review of Jim Robbin's book Recover Your Good Heart here about a week ago. I think this would be a really great addition to anyone's library, and also would be excellent to pass along as a gift to others.
So, I just wanted to let everyone know that the book can be purchased here (Amazon - paperback book)
Or here (lulu.com, paperback or download)
And also that a new study guide to accompany the book has just become available, and it's available here (paperback or download).
BTW, I'm not playing "salesman" here. :) I just really think that many who check out this blog would enjoy the book.
While I'm at it, if there are those who purchase the book and the study guide who would like to study it with others, I'd like to throw out the idea of having some sort of online study group (perhaps through Yahoo Messenger or something like that)? I know some of us have had the idea to do some sort of online study together, so I'm just putting this up for consideration. This would obviously also be a great idea to do in your own church or small group, or with any group of people who you fellowship with.

My review of Recover Your Good Heart
I was introduced to the writings of Jim Robbins a few months ago through a blog post from Aida, who, since then, has posted a few blogs about his book Recover Your Good Heart. I believe she heard about the book through Amy. Long story short, I ended up having an email conversation with Jim and I received a copy of the book from him. I've thoroughly enjoyed reading the book, and gaining some insight into "the heart" - the new heart of flesh that God put in us after having taken away our old heart of stone (Ezekiel 36:26).
Below is my review of the book that appears on Jim's website, robbinswritings.com.
Below is my review of the book that appears on Jim's website, robbinswritings.com.
In the midst of a church culture that tends to put a huge emphasis on outward behavior change and religious activity, Jim Robbins’ book Recover Your Good Heart is a refreshing and much needed look into the true life that we have in Christ that is lived freely and abundantly from within - through the new heart that God gave us when we were raised to life with Christ.
How many Christians are still living with the mentality of something that was true at one time – that our hearts were deceitful and desperately wicked – when the scriptures tell us that in Christ God has taken away the old, unredeemed, sinful heart and placed in us a brand new heart that is holy, righteous and good!
It’s in our new God-given heart that we find real life and our true identity. Robbins examines the scriptures to show us what this new heart is and how we live from our good heart rather than trying harder to become something better. I highly recommend this book for anyone who tends to live in guilt and shame, or for anyone who simply wants to grow in understanding their true identity in Christ so they can freely live the life they were always meant to live.
