There is no record against you

Ps 130:3
If you, O Lord, kept a record of sins,
O Lord, who could stand?

1 Cor 13:5
(Love)... keeps no record of wrongs.

Col 2:13-14
And you, being dead in your trespasses and the uncircumcision of your flesh, He has made alive together with Him, having forgiven you all trespasses, having wiped out the handwriting of requirements that was against us, which was contrary to us. And He has taken it out of the way, having nailed it to the cross.

2 Cor 5:18-19
Now all things are of God, who has reconciled us to Himself through Jesus Christ, and has given us the ministry of reconciliation, that is, that God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not imputing their trespasses to them, and has committed to us the word of reconciliation.

  2. ...as far as the East is from the West !! Our sins have been wiped clean and forgotten.

Joel, Yes, God does not and cannot remember our sins. Therefore He cannot and maynot punish me.

What a glorious thought and reminder.

  3. Berni,

So very true. It's a good thing for us to remind one another of these things often!

    Lennart,

Amen to that! Our sins are remembered no more. Since God doesn't bring them up and in fact never again contains them in His memory, neither should we!
