  1. LOL!!! Awesome video. I guess we're playing inspiration ping pong now. I think I'm going to try and do a longer one. That was FUR-EEK-ING HIGH-LARIOUS! We need to do these more often!!

  2. I found out my stupid program for my logitech only allows me to record up to 1 minute. Drat!! I uploaded two more but I'm still getting that "We're sorry. This video is no longer available" thing when I post it on my blog.

  4. Matthew... glad you liked it. :) I definitely think you're right that we need to do these more often! It's a lot of fun.

I've had various problems with a couple of different logitech cameras in the past, but never the 1 minute problem, so I'm not sure what the fix might be. One thing you could possibly try would be to use Windows Movie Maker, instead of the logitech software, or perhaps see if logitech has an update?

Hope you get it worked out... Looking forward to seeing more!

Alvin... I'm THERE at your next cookout!

  5. Hey Joel! I think you are so funny - like MaTT said, FUR-EEK-ING HIGH-LARIUOS!!!

I would love to do one, but don't have a webcam on my laptop! I will have to use my husbands laptop and do one! If I can ever figure out how! What is the software that you used and how did you get it to work!??!! I am really interested in trying it myself! Looks like a whole lot of fun! :) Keep making them videos! Great to see you in the flesh brother on camera!

    In Freedom, Nicole!

  6. Well Joel, I am speechless... :) It was fun to see you just as you are (so to speak) and I have read and seen different videos you have done and heard you on your show with Mike but this is a new....high, yes that is the word I was looking for. I am almost afeared for you....LOL. No really do some more, it made me smile, actually laugh out loud , actually really loud and I truly enjoyed just getting to know the guy behind the awesome teaching guy. Know what I mean eh?

  7. Thanks, gals, for the comments. It was fun doing it. I especially enjoyed it because when all we really see of each other is what we write - due to being in various places around the U.S., Canada and the world - we don't really get much of a glimpse into each others' personalities, body language, etc, etc, and it was fun to not be simply in "serious" mode for this. :)

Nic, if the laptop has a webcam, I'm guessing it also came with preinstalled software that works with the cam. Another option, as I mentioned to Matthew, might be to use Windows Movie Maker (free with Windows). Or if it's a Mac, I think those come with special video software as well. Once you get into it, it's really pretty simple to do. :)

  8. Hey Nicole,

I tried Joel's advice in using Windows Movie Maker and it worked really good. It allows me a lot longer than 60 seconds as the program that my logitech webcamera came with. It's simple too. Just hook up your camera and open up Windows Movie Maker and tada. You can begin filming.

I should have a longer video posted soon.
