Are Jesus' commands "law?"

I went on a bit of a blog-hop morning. Looking at one blog, following a link or a comment to another blog, etc. I came across several blogs that I'd never seen before, some of which I'll be checking out more often. Anyway, one of them has a post that I think goes along well with my "That 'Love Thy Neighbor' Thing..." series. Julie of Voice of Grace talked about Jesus' commands, such as "My command is this: Love each other as I have loved you." Are such commands "law" for the Christian? See what Julie says.

  1. Awesome! Thanks for the link.

I meant to tell you, when I went on vacation to Asheville, NC this weekend to visit the Biltmore house, I was listening to your podcasts on my ipod while driving around the mountains. It was wonderful..You guys helped re-focus my mind on God. Renewing my mind while admiring God's mountains, creeks, trees, and smelling the wild honeysuckles was just wonderful.

You and Mike made the trip a lot less painful, lol

  2. Thanks for the link!

I'll be checking out your blog as well. I'm always excited to meet people who love grace as much as I do. Have you ever heard of Rob Rufus? He has amazing sermons available online (for free) on grace. There are links on my blog if you're interested. Terry Virgo's great too (also linked on my blog).

    Have a great day.

  3. Matthew,

Sounds like you had a wonderful weekend! I bet all that nature was truly inspiring and refreshing!

  4. Jul,

Indeed it's always exciting to meet other grace-lovers! I've heard the name Rob Rufus, probably from surfing for "grace"-related stuff, but I don't think I've read or heard much from him. I check out more about him and Terry Virgo through your links.
