He Is Exalted

Beautiful song and video.

Spoken words at the beginning by Rebecca St. James, song vocals by Michelle Ray.

Back in the mid to late 90's I bought "GOD - the single," which is an "AudioVision" CD that includes two versions of Rebecca St. James' song "God" as well as two or three other songs and a few videos, including this one.

For some time now this song has been one of my favorite 'chill time' songs. Along with some other songs, the calmness and beauty of the song helps me to relax, and to inwardly focus on who I am in Christ, and on who He is.

  1. I love this song! This is my new favorite version. I used to have the one done by Twila Paris. Such a beautiful song...great video too.

  2. I had never heard that version before. I like it. To me, it's got a New Age kind of feel...sounds sort of like Enya. Or am I the only one that thinks that. :)

  3. I'm a sucker for New Age music. It's the classic "Why does the devil get all the good music!?" scenario. Enya is awesome!

  4. That's weird... to me... that someone would say this sounds new agey, because I've been listening to the song for over a decade and it's always simply been "Rebecca St. James" to me, and I've never thought about the style of music (other than thinking of it as beautiful, calm, etc). But now that you mention it... it's true (!) and I'll never be able to get that thought out of my mind now! LOL

Actually I've never really listened to Enya, except perhaps a video or song you posted once Matthew? Also, one of the newer blogs I've been reading has a music player on the side with a bunch of Enya music. Sounds pretty decent. I can't remember which blog it is at the moment because I mostly read it from a reader and I guess I haven't been to the actual web page in a while.

I'm a huge fan of Enya. Anywhere Is and Only If are two of my favorite songs.

  6. Matthew... Yeah that's it! I knew I'd eventually see it again when clicking on the blog from my reader, but I just couldn't remember which one I had seen those songs on.
