My aunt had lived a very healthy life and was suddenly diagnosed with lung cancer and before we knew it she was gone.

Gary,

Yeah, there's just something about the historic Route 66. As many times as I've been near it, I think I've only actually traveled on it once. Today on a long stretch of a 4 lane highway we were able to look over and see quite a bit of it.

It's one of those things that isn't necessarily practical for a long journey, so I can understand you changing your mind, but if a person has a bit of extra time it can be a fun thing to do.Joel Bruesekehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10395847887953875757noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-29606082.post-55183860915348926842008-10-21T19:42:00.000-05:002008-10-21T19:42:00.000-05:00Sorry to hear about your aunt's passing. I had plans for the return trip to trace Route 66 as closely as I could...I changed my mind at the last minute and came back the same way I went out. I still regret it...who knows; maybe another opportunity will present itself.

Take care,
GaryGary Kirkhamhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12870342469118915243noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-29606082.post-14195646761413768522008-10-21T19:27:00.000-05:002008-10-21T19:27:00.000-05:00Joel,I'm sorry for your loss.
