I love it. It puts another stake in the "I still have a bad self" mentality which fairly plagues the church. We have only one self, one at a time. The former self was done away with through the cross, and the new self was brought through the resurrection. We've been made a new self, one that shares in His nature. Hooray!

And "Hooray" for you.Ralphhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13191358912351995744noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-29606082.post-91064984362536122007-07-24T18:46:00.000-05:002007-07-24T18:46:00.000-05:00Yep guys, it's so very true that we had to die in ...Yep guys, it's so very true that we had to die in order to be given new life! When the sin nature was crucified, it was nailed to the cross and it was dead, forever! The NIV simply translates "sarx" wrong TWENTY THREE TIMES when it talks about Christians in regards to having a "sinful nature." Maybe I'll do a post about that.Joel Bruesekehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10395847887953875757noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-29606082.post-20827000829859475552007-07-23T14:54:00.000-05:002007-07-23T14:54:00.000-05:00The crucifixion and resurrection of Christ becomes...The crucifixion and resurrection of Christ becomes a reality in our own life when we understand this. We are crucified (died) with Christ and resurrected (made alive) with Christ.
Thank you for reminding it and quoting those verses. Though we hear them again and again it is always fresh. It's not like science and mathematics which can be so boring by repeating again and again. I never get tired of those verses being said and heard over and over... In fact I need it.Bino M.https://www.blogger.com/profile/02303467552834533436noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-29606082.post-44490936277666995582007-07-23T13:37:00.000-05:002007-07-23T13:37:00.000-05:00So true, Joel! It was good for nothing, beyond repair.

It's very exciting to realize that you're already that which you've been striving to be.

To quote Morpheus,

"You have to let it all go, Neo. Fear, doubt, and disbelief. - Free your mind."Mattityahuhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05549061279827942555noreply@blogger.com
